Twin Fin Coffee came about when two friends who took their first trip together to Central America over 20 years prior began putting the pieces together on a project that would allow for a deeper connection with this region they love so much.
Additionally, with the addition of families to their travels their eyes were opened even further to the struggles still being faced in these communities despite the tourist dollars and million-dollar homes flooding into surf towns.
Coffee inherently connects people. We enjoy it with our family in the morning, use it as a reason to get together with friends and colleagues, and even bond with strangers over a cup.
When we choose our coffee beans, we are inherently connected with the farmers who have brought the seeds to market, the co-ops that ensure fair trade practices, the importers who open global markets, and the roasters who are dedicated to the craft of extracting the best flavor from the beans.
When we grab a cup of local coffee on a surf trip, we are connecting not only with the people but the land itself, tasting the unique flavors that the natural environment brings to each cup.
Twin Fin Coffee is looking to deepen these connections even further and help that feeling of connection last long after the trip is over.
