Back in coffee growing country for the first time in a bit.
Well, a coffee growing country but not really where the coffee is grown.
This trip is focused on the surfing side of things here in Nicaragua – Playa Santana to be more precise.

A week of surfing and riding motos around Central America seemed like just what I needed, so here I am.
Coffee today, here at Costa Oeste, is a normal brew of local coffee, but it all feels right. Waves are crashing on the shore in the background. The swell isn’t as solid as I had hoped, more in that 2-3 ft range as opposed the the 4-6 that suits me well. Also, the offshore winds that this region of Nicaragua is famous for are, well, a bit too windy and offshore.
Howling would be an appropriate term.
But this is what you get on trips where you need nature to cooperate. You just have to take what you can get. So after a great Nica typical breakfast and a couple of cups off coffee, we’ll load up the bikes and see what we can find.
