A bit of business here today at Twin Fin Coffee, putting out a couple of small fires.
I ended up getting a few orders of the Chicama decaf after participating in some reddit forums. Pretty interesting to see the direct result of that work. I can’t say that I’ve ever seen social activity pay off so immediately.
You’ll be sure to see more of me Reddit!
However, as soon as the orders came in there was an issue with the website. Decaf specifically of course!
So after working to iron out a few issues today, I hope to get these orders back on track and shipped ASAP. In fact, I’m writing this just to calm the nerves and keep from just hitting the refresh button once again to see if this update has gone through.
So, the good and bad of running a small business. Fires pop up. That’s just how it goes.
Orders, or Subscriptions…
The big question is always whether the lifetime value of these customers is more than just the one order. Is it the one time margin or margin x12, or x24.
After all, the great thing about coffee is that you run out and need more. But I get the desire to try new things.
It’s our job to keep people coming back, so these hiccups on first-time orders are that much more frustrating.
The TFC Email List
With new customers comes increased light on my lack of email follow up and engagement. Time to get that back on track.
Holiday orders anyone?
