Central American coffee is a core offering here at Twin Fin Coffee.
One reason is that I just love to surf there and have had a lot of great experiences traveling to Central America over the years.
The other is, well, because Central American coffee is straight up some of the finest coffee you can get anywhere on the planet.
History of Coffee in Central America

Coffee has been an important export crop for Central America since the 1850s.
Despite all of the political and environmental turmoil that this region has had to endure, coffee remains an important part of the economy.
3 Great Central American Coffee Beans
Here at Twin Fin Coffee, we’re happy to offer three really amazing Central American coffee varieties from Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica.
These destinations are a great fit for the surf and coffee connection that we are looking to promote. After all, what better way to ignite the dreams and memories of past surf trips than to brew up an amazing cup of coffee from that location in the morning!
All I know is that when I grind up some Pavones, I’m thinking of those long lefts and that amazing town at the end of the road.
Are these coffees grown in the towns they are named after? Well, no. Coffee grows best at high elevations, not down by the ocean.
But these amazing places – the surf, the people, and yes the coffee – are connected experiences in my mind.
Plus, when you buy a certain coffee, you really are supporting all of the small growers that make up the local coffee economy.
